I recommend you to visit Hamburg already two or three days prior to the beginning of the congress and to attend our “enthusiast’s tours”. Our congress organizing committee has prepared sightseeing tours to interesting highlights of Hamburg’s surroundings for you and your accompanying person(s), where you will already meet other congress participants. Recover from the jet lag after your long journey and start the IPVS Congress in the evening of Sunday, June 27th in a relaxed way attending our traditional get-together evening at a medieval market, where we step back into the year 1404.
Thus, you will be well prepared for the 3 ½-day scientific program with its lectures, posters and discussions as well as with its newly created and so far unique practitioner’s line, a series of lectures as basis for a panel discussion especially targeted at the practicing swine veterinarian. Much too fast these days will pass by before we will meet on Wednesday, June 30th at the Hamburg harbor for our farewell banquet enjoying Hamburg’s hospitality once more before saying “good bye”.
“Science meets Practice - Healthy Pigs for Wholesome Pork ” is our congress motto. We want to fill this our motto with life by creating a lively and fruitful symbiosis between scientific knowledge and its application in the swine veterinarian’s daily practice.
